# Standard: Kill the Flesh. Walk in the Spirit.

> Kill the flesh. Walk in the Spirit. Short card first. Full holds when you need them.

*Standard · Field card first · Hold first · Bedrock · https://bedrock.rippel.ai/c/kill-the-flesh-walk-in-the-spirit*

## Under fire

- Stop the thought. Name it. Do not feed it. Give it to Christ.
- Do your part. Their replies are theirs. Success is Spirit, not outcomes.
- No rage, monitoring, revenge, or bitterness. One free step in the Spirit now.

## Prayer

Father, I release every thought to You. I refuse the accuser. Amen.

## The standard

## Field card

Kill the acts of the flesh. Walk in the Spirit. This is the path — not a mood.

[Galatians 5:16](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+5%3A16&version=NIV) · [Galatians 5:24–25](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+5%3A24-25&version=NIV)

- Capture every destructive thought. Stop. Name it. Do not feed it. Give it to Christ.
- Refuse building a case. Small gaps are not proof you must solve now.
- Refuse condemnation — the accuser’s voice. Conviction leads to life; condemnation freezes. Own once, cleanse, rise.
- Fight fear with power, love, and a sound mind. Hand the outcome to God.
- Refuse the flesh: no rage, control, monitoring, revenge, or settled bitterness.
- Forgive. Release the debt. Do your part.
- Guard body and desire. Love without vanishing. Do not let their choices rule your peace.
- Low contact when the bond is unstable. Logistics only. Strength, not need. Trust God over understanding.

Prayer: “Father, I take every thought captive. I refuse building a case and condemnation. I walk in the Spirit. Amen.”

Success: not whether they return or choose you. Success is staying in the Spirit — one decision at a time. Do better. Be better. Trust God.

Mind war goes deeper than one card. Path: Battlefield of the mind. Full holds below when fog needs a map.

## Holds

### 1. Thought capture

Destructive thought appears — capture it.

- Stop.
- Name it.
- Do not feed it.
- Give it to Christ.

Prayer: “No. I release this to You, Lord.”

[2 Corinthians 10:5](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+10%3A5&version=NIV) · [Colossians 3:2](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians+3%3A2&version=NIV)

### 2. Refuse building a case

The mind hunts evidence. Gaps become “proof.” Peace rarely follows.

- Name it: “I am building a case.”
- Refuse every lead.
- Do not turn open questions into a case right now.

Prayer: “I refuse to live as the detective of every gap. I hand this uncertainty to You.”

[2 Corinthians 10:5](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+10%3A5&version=NIV) · [Philippians 4:8](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4%3A8&version=NIV) · [Romans 12:2](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+12%3A2&version=NIV)

### 3. Refuse condemnation

The accuser’s voice: self-hate loops, harsh words that stick, judgment, fiery darts. Conviction is specific and leads to life. Condemnation freezes.

- Name it: “This is condemnation — not the Holy Spirit.”
- Own what is real once.
- Receive cleansing. Take one free step.

Prayer: “There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. I refuse the accuser’s voice. Cleanse me and raise me.”

[Romans 8:1](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+8%3A1&version=NIV) · [Revelation 12:10](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+12%3A10&version=NIV) · [1 John 1:9](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+John+1%3A9&version=NIV) · [2 Corinthians 7:10](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+7%3A10&version=NIV)

### 4. Fight fear

Fear is fought with power, love, and a sound mind.

- Name the fear.
- Refuse to agree with it.
- Hand the outcome to God.

Prayer: “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I hand this to You.”

[2 Timothy 1:7](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Timothy+1%3A7&version=NIV) · [Ephesians 6:16](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+6%3A16&version=NIV) · [Philippians 4:6–7](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4%3A6-7&version=NIV)

### 5. Refuse the flesh

No name-calling, rage, control, monitoring, revenge, or settled bitterness.

- Name the act.
- Refuse it.
- Return to obedience.

Prayer: “I refuse this. I will walk in Love.”

[Galatians 5:19–21](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+5%3A19-21&version=NIV) · [Ephesians 4:29](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+4%3A29&version=NIV) · [Ephesians 4:31](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+4%3A31&version=NIV)

### 6. Forgiveness

Forgiveness refuses the scorecard and bitterness.

- Release the debt.
- Stop rehearsing the offense.
- Hand them and the injustice to God.

Prayer: “I forgive. I release this to You, Lord.”

[Matthew 6:14–15](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+6%3A14-15&version=NIV) · [Ephesians 4:32](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+4%3A32&version=NIV) · [Colossians 3:13](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Colossians+3%3A13&version=NIV)

### 7. Self-control

Guard eyes, thoughts, and body. Do not push for intimacy or force deep talks.

- Stop the urge.
- Do not chase self-gratification.
- Submit the thought to Christ.

Prayer: “My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I choose self-control. Strengthen me.”

[1 Corinthians 6:18–20](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+6%3A18-20&version=NIV) · [Galatians 5:22–23](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+5%3A22-23&version=NIV)

### 8. Presence

You are whole under God. Love without vanishing or managing their feelings.

- Do not over-function.
- Be present where God has you.
- Do not let their choices rule your peace.

Prayer: “Lord, this is where You have me. Help me be present where I am.”

### 9. Honest assessment

You may not fully trust them. Do not pretend. Do not use distrust as a license for the flesh.

- Admit it.
- Do not overcommit.
- Still refuse the flesh.

Prayer: “Lord, I do not trust them. Give me peace.”

[Proverbs 4:23](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs+4%3A23&version=NIV) · [Ephesians 4:15](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians+4%3A15&version=NIV)

### 10. Contact and boundaries

When the bond is unstable: low contact. Logistics only. Not to calm your pain or force reassurance.

- Short and clear.
- Kids, house, money, schedules — not the relationship.
- If the urge is to manage pain, do not send.

Prayer: “I will not use contact to manage pain. Give me restraint.”

[Matthew 5:37](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+5%3A37&version=NIV) · [Ecclesiastes 3:1](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes+3%3A1&version=NIV)

### 11. Do your part

You own thoughts, mouth, actions, obedience, standards. Their replies and plans are theirs.

- Notice the drift.
- Stop building stories.
- Return to your part.

Prayer: “Lord, You know what they are doing. I give them to You.”

[1 Thessalonians 4:11](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Thessalonians+4%3A11&version=NIV) · [Galatians 6:4–5](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+6%3A4-5&version=NIV) · [Matthew 7:3](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+7%3A3&version=NIV)

### 12. Outside pressure

Old patterns and third parties return. Do not compete or spy.

- Notice the pull.
- Do your part.
- Hand the situation to God.

Prayer: “Lord, I will not compete. I entrust this to You.”

[Romans 12:17–19](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+12%3A17-19&version=NIV)

### 13. Strength, not need

Do not reach out from anxiety. Do not measure worth by their tone.

- Stop reaching from need.
- Bring the raw sentence to the Lord.
- Measure by obedience, not their response.

Prayer: “My peace is not dependent on them. I hand this to You.”

[Psalm 46:10](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+46%3A10&version=NIV) · [Exodus 14:14](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+14%3A14&version=NIV) · [1 Peter 5:7](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Peter+5%3A7&version=NIV)

### 14. Trust over understanding

Trust the Lord. Do not lean on your own understanding.

- Refuse the demand to figure it all out.
- Hand unanswered questions to Him.
- Do your part.

Prayer: “Lord, You know the plans You have for me. Help me trust You.”

## For men

Lead yourself first. Carry your own load. Kind, clear, and boundaried — not passive, not aggressive.

- No one else steadies your peace for you.
- Courage stays steady without forcing closeness.
- Govern yourself; do not manage her.
