# Master the Flesh

## Under fire

- Fear (the flesh) drives thoughts and actions. Name it.
- Is it self-less? Does it protect? Does it honor God? If no → stop.
- Capture it to Christ. Stop. Breathe. Choose the other path.

## Prayer

Father, this is fear — this is the flesh. I take it captive to Christ. I stop. Amen.

## Truth

Fear drives the flesh as reaction and reflex — in thoughts and in person. It produces control, jealousy, and impatience; then rage, bitterness, habit, and immediate relief. Say it plain: this is fear; this is the flesh.

Before you speak, send, or act — three filters:

- Is it self-less?
- Does it protect?
- Does it honor God?
- If any answer is no → stop. Do not negotiate with the flesh.

Kill it in three steps:

- Name it — “This is fear. This is the flesh.”
- Capture the thought and give it to Christ.
- Stop. Breathe. Choose the other path.

When the body is still ringing — reset, then return to the three steps:

- Exhale hard once
- 3-2-1 grounding — three you see, two you hear, one you feel
- Default phrase: “My emotional state is my own.”

Take every thought captive to obey Christ. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. God has not given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
