## Under fire

- Love them. Do not let their choices rule your peace.
- Rage, lust, and checking again are not masters.
- Name the urge. Wait. Capture the thought. Keep in step with the Spirit.

## Prayer

Holy Spirit, keep me in step. Amen.

## Truth

The fruit of the Spirit is self-control; against such things there is no law.

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.

Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.
