Contempt is not courage.
If you must correct, restore gently. Check your pride first.
Soft answer. Truth without the knife.

Prayer

When you do not have the words.

Jesus, form Your gentleness in me. Amen.

Truth

When you can read deeper — Scripture-rooted steel.

The fruit of the Spirit is gentleness.

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand.

Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
