  • Hatred of a brother is already death in the heart.
  • Do not avenge. Leave wrath to God. Put down the wish that they be erased.
  • If blood is truly on your hands, run to confession and the Cross.

Prayer

When you do not have the words.

  • Father, I release hatred. Have mercy. Amen.

Truth

When you can read deeper — Scripture-rooted steel.

Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.” But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment.

But as for … murderers… their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur.

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
