  • No certainty first. No controlling their reply. He holds the risk.

Truth

Fear of trust says you will be hurt again. So you control, pull away, or demand certainty first. Give that fear to the Lord. He holds the risk. Then take one clear step toward them — not the whole future.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.
