Lock · Pain interrupt · When the wave hits

Pain Interrupt

Notice it. My emotional state is my own. Return to what is in front of me.

Lock — snaps you back into The Line when pain, memory, or rage surges.

This hour

Under fire

Three moves when the wave hits.

  • Notice it.
  • My emotional state is my own.
  • Return to what is in front of me.

Prayer

When you do not have the words.

  • Father, I notice this pain. My state is my own. I return to what is in front of me. Amen.

Truth

When you can read deeper — Scripture-rooted steel.

A painful memory or reminder hits. It hurts. Do not chase it. Do not rebuild the case. Do not let the wave write the next hour.

Notice it. Name the surge — pain, memory, rage — without following it into the story. Capture the thought; do not feed it.

My emotional state is my own. Not theirs. Their choices do not own this hour. You can hurt and still stand under God.

Return to what is in front of you. The next real task. The person in the room. The prayer under your feet. One step. Then the next.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
